Sr. Francs Drake was the first to mention that the earth was round when he sailed around the world in 1597. Indeed, in quoting from Al-Qur'an, verse 29 says in verse 31: "Do you not see? Indeed, Allah has made the night into the day and the night into the night. And He has commanded the sun and the moon to follow their course until the appointed time." َمْلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ ٌّ َىٰلَىٰ أَجَلٍ ٍ ٍ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ُونَ
